About Elmhurst Sculpture Garden
Elmhurst Sculpture Garden provides a dynamic space for artists to showcase outdoor art and explore ways to revitalize public spaces. As an incubator for creativity, the garden invites artists to gain hands-on experience they can bring back to their own communities—transforming neglected spaces, creating public art, and fostering connections with neighbors.
Established in 2017, Elmhurst Sculpture Garden began with a tremendous community effort: over 100 dedicated volunteers came together to clean out the area, removing rodents and collecting more than 27 bags of garbage. Their hard work transformed the space into a vibrant hub for creativity and connection.
The garden also collaborates with the Museum for Contemporary Artists, which has commissioned artists for murals, sculptures, and performances that enrich the space. At any given time, visitors can enjoy 6-8 unique pieces from this collection on display, adding to the garden’s dynamic atmosphere.
With the support of a dedicated Friends Group, we continue to maintain and enhance the garden for all to enjoy. Imagine the possibilities—one transformed space at a time.
