About 63rd Drive Corridor

The 63rd Drive Public Art Project features three murals, four paintings, one landscaped garden, food garden, and 42 aluminum art pieces. The artwork spans from Alderton Street to Booth Street along 63rd Drive. This collection includes works by artists Mayuko Fujino, Evil Evie, Beckz, Georgina Castellano, Suzuyo Furusho, and J.E., all created with support from PS139, local officials, and the community.

The project aims to use public art to revitalize this community downtown corridor. Over the past 10 years, these commissions have led to more than $400,000 in city funding, supporting initiatives for safety, beautification, and economic impact. Improvements include a new sidewalk to prevent cars from driving onto pedestrian areas, underpass lighting to deter mugging, waste management for small businesses to reduce rodent infestations, and a pr campaign to drive small business revenue, among other enhancements.
